Every TUFF+ building kit requires a solid foundation.\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

TUFF+ BAS<\/span>E FRP<\/a> foundations are an option available to be shipped with the kit. They are faster to install and less expensive than slab or piles.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The authorizing engineer\/building authority will determine what is the best foundation that will meet hurricane Cat 3 standard, so that the house is not blown away from the foundation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

TUFF+ prestressed concrete pile foundations driven into the soil to the required depth specified. Steel rebar reinforced concrete slab foundations are poured on site.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the ECONOMY house kits, they come with steel pile foundations which have to be concreted into the soil.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Every Country has a range of duties, tariffs and taxes that may apply to the import of your TUFF+ house kit.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

These vary by territory and over time, and are not included in the price quoted for the kit, unless your local supplier has quoted for them specifically, so please ask your franchisee or builder.<\/strong><\/p>\n

To give an example of Europe:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Import duty for prefabricated housing in Europe typically falls under Harmonized System (HS) code 9406, which covers prefabricated buildings of all materials.\u00a0<\/span>The applicable customs duty rate is generally\u00a02.7%<\/mark>, though it can vary slightly based on the specific type of building and the origin of the goods.\u00a0<\/span>Additionally, Value Added Tax (VAT)\u00a0 will be charged on the value of the imported goods, which varies by country and can be a significant portion of the total import cost.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n

All kit walls are made from interlocked SIP (Structural Insulated Panels) which are laminated together for a strong insulated surface.<\/b><\/p>\n

Kit wall panels are 3\/4″ (18mm) thick and there are two layers interlocked so that the standard wall frame is 1.5″ (36mm) thick.<\/b><\/p>\n

Inside the wall panels are TUFF+ AAC block lightweight 4″ walls\u00a0which extend from the floor to the roofing beams.<\/p>\n

Internal wall panels are TUFF+ 2″ SIP panels from the floor to the roofing beams. These are what the internal walls are attached to.<\/p>\n

TUFF+ standard roofing is engineer specified FRP<\/a> I-beams bolted to the walls.<\/b><\/p>\n

Over the beams solid TPAN18S 8×4′ panels are screwed as a solid, strong base.<\/b><\/p>\n

On top of the panels are polycarbonate roofing sheets the length of the beam. This ensures 100% rain proofing, UV protected, which is long life with no rust.<\/p>\n

Building Elements that are considered \u201cpart of the building\u201d. These items are typically built into the structure of the building and are not movable.<\/p>\n

Examples are wall mounted items, lighting, cabinetry, a\/v equipment, etc.<\/p>\n

Group II Furniture\/Equipment<\/strong>
Furniture\/Equipment are movable and can be relocated from one space to another with ease. ie: tables, chairs, desks, office furniture, white goods including refrigerators and washing machines, microwaves, etc. Also known as FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment).<\/p>\n

The kit will contain FRP<\/a> I-beam floor joists to engineering specifications and topped with a solid 3\/4″ (18mm) subfloor which is made from completely waterproof TUFF+ solid panels.<\/b><\/p>\n
